When you’re looking for a place to bend your elbows and grab a bite, Dino’s Bar and Grill is a local favorite.

This neighborhood watering hole opened in 2000 and has been serving hungry and thirsty patrons ever since. Inside, the lights are low, the bar is clean and there is a slew of regulars constantly coming and going.

Bryant, owner and operator of Dino’s Bar & Grill, told us a bit of history about the bar and how it started.

“Interestingly enough, the bar is named after Dean Martin,” he says. “It was originally a martini bar. That’s why there’s an olive on the sign outside.”

“We’re a neighborhood bar. Kind of the ‘Cheers’ of New Orleans. Everyone here knows your name. It’s always nice to come hang out at a place that feels like home.”

Dinos Bar and Grill Burger

Today, Dino’s Bar & Grill is much more than a martini bar. The bar is a well-known spot for lunch, mainly because of their delicious hamburgers being grilled up every day.

The original Dino Burger is a whopping half pound of Certified Angus Beef and charbroiled to your preference. Don’t hesitate to ask for cheddar and bacon on your burger or go big and order the Dino’s Chili Cheese Burger, that comes smothered in chili and cheddar cheese.

But the burgers aren’t the only orders flying out of the kitchen. Bryant wanted to have a well-balanced menu.

“Let’s face it, not everyone wants a big hamburger for lunch. That’s why we have our Grilled Tuna Salad with sashimi grade tuna on top.”

While Bryant admits that the food is enough to keep customers coming back, there’s something else that’s special about Dino’s.

Happy hour commences at 4:00 PM and ends at 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Dino’s is located at 1128 Tchoupitoulas St, New Orleans, LA. For more information, visit the Dino’s Bar & Grill website or call (504) 558-0900.
